Tate’s arrest has generated a lot of discussions online and, it appears, objections from fans as well. On January 15, a large group of Tate supporters flooded the streets of Athens, Greece, marching while yelling, “Free Top G!” The demonstration took place on Ermou Street, a main thoroughfare for pedestrian shopping in Athens. Tate’s supporters and detractors are arguing on Twitter after many videos of the incident were shared there.

Following recent tweets from Tate in which he stated that “anyone who believes I’m a human trafficker is stupid,” this protest was organized. The injustice of the Romanian System would astound anyone intelligent enough to recognize the unfairness of the American System, he said.

Some Twitter users opposed the protest

After hearing that Andrew Tate’s supporters demanded his freedom, irate internet users went to social media. Several individuals criticized the former kickboxer for his “bigoted” conduct and dubbed the demonstration “disgusting.” Many people questioned how these young men could blindly follow online celebrities. Others noted that the protesters were unaware of Tate’s lack of concern for them. Twitterati further asserted that these young admirers might become violent criminals and misogynists like their role models.
