The day began with heavy breakfast despite Hall being much larger in size than Fury, the two had a surprisingly similar breakfast. After which they started light training at the boxing gym, followed by a power test where Hall hit Fury with a body shot and an overhand right while Fury wore a body protector. But the real test came at mealtimes, where the two athletes swapped diets.

However, at lunchtime, it became apparent just how different their diets were. While Hall’s meal consisted of weighed amounts of steak, rice, and vegetables, Fury’s went for a Domino’s pizza and a whole box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Despite the junk food, Fury seemed to handle Hall’s diet without much difficulty.

In addition to the diet swap, Hall also got a glimpse into Tommy Fury’s boxing routine, which included a rigorous training schedule and a focus on technique and footwork. As a former strongman, Hall was no stranger to intense physical training, but the precision and discipline required in boxing was a new challenge for him.

The contrast between Eddie Hall, the man who once held the world deadlift record of 500kgs, and professional boxer Tommy Fury was a fascinating sight to behold. Although Hall was known for his massive size and strength, his decision to box against Hafthor in Dubai required him to shed a significant amount of weight, resulting in a major overhaul of his diet and training regimen.

It’s clear that the lifestyles of a strongman and a boxer are quite different, with each sport requiring a unique set of skills and physical attributes. However, both athletes share a deep commitment to discipline, hard work, and pushing themselves to the limit. It’s always inspiring to see athletes like Hall and Fury challenge themselves and try new things, even if it means stepping outside of their comfort zones.
