Daniil Medvedev vs Attila Balazs
Former US Open champion Daniil Medvedev wasted little time in reaching the second round at the hard-court major on Tuesday, dispatching Hungarian Attila Balazs 6-1, 6-1, 6-0.
The third seed arrived in New York holding a modest 3-2 record at ATP Masters 1000 events in Toronto and Cincinnati, but quickly found his range on Arthur Ashe Stadium to earn his 50th tour-level win of the season after one hour and 16 minutes.
“It is always good to start well,” Medvedev said. “I am happy with my performance. I am looking forward to the next matches and to play for as long as possible in New York. I hope I can play better and better each match as each one is going to be more difficult.”
Andy Murray vs Corentin Moutet
Following his third round defeat at the US Open last year, Andy Murray is all set to return to the Grand Slam event. The Briton will begin his campaign this year by facing Corentin Moutet in the first round.
Murray is the 2012 champion and he enters the Grand Slam event this year after recovering from an abdominal strain. The former World No.1 suffered the injury at the Canadian Open this year. It made him pull out of the tournament after reaching the third round.
Corentin Moutet enters the US Open following his first round defeat from the Cincinnati Masters. His best-ever performance in the US Open was a fourth round appearance last year. He hopes to replicate the show in the Grand Slam event this year.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Dominik Koepfer
Carlos Alcaraz will headline action in the night session on Day 2. The defending champion will face Germany’s Dominik Koepfer in the first round. After winning the Wimbledon title, the 20-year old hopes to lift back-to-back Grand Slam titles for the first time in his career.
75th ranked Dominic Koepfer is entering the US Open after 2021. His best show Flushing Meadows is the fourth round appearance in 2019. He will be facing Alcaraz for the first time in his career.

Ons Jabeur vs Osorio Serrano
Ons Jabeur overcame breathing difficulties to secure a gritty 7-5 7-6(4) first round win over Colombia’s Camila Osorio on Tuesday at the U.S. Open where the Tunisian fifth seed is hoping to end a run Grand Slam near misses.
Jabeur, in her first Grand Slam since suffering the most painful loss of her career in the Wimbledon final and a day after turning 29, showed a warrior’s mentality in a two-hour battle at Louis Armstrong Stadium played in humid conditions.
Aryna Sabalenka vs Maryna Zanevska
Aryna Sabalenka is one of the favourites in the US Open this year. She takes on Belgium’s Maryna Zanevska in the first round. Sabalenka had a good prepareation ahead of the Grand Slam evet.
