In the absence of Pardeep Narwal, the Pirates had Monu Goyat to thank, who stepped up and saw his team over the line to kick start their new era. Now Patna will face off against Pardeep and Co., with the record-breaker now part of the UP Yoddha side.

Narwal struggled to get going in their season opener, and suffered a defeat at the hands of the Gujarat Giants. However, the Yoddhas will be aiming to bounce especially with the next game being against that the Pirates.

The game will mark the first time that Patna and Pardeep meet having parted ways in the summer. Narwal spent five years with the franchise, winning three PKL Titles and establishing a stellar legacy, making Patna the most successful franchise in the league.
