The Hockey India League auction unfolded with much anticipation on Sunday. The men’s player auction was held over the first two days, where players from the Indian national team attracted significant bids. Indian team’s midfielder Hardik Singh emerged as the most expensive player for the team, UP bought the 26-year-old for 70 lakhs.

About Hockey India League
The HIL 2024-25 season is set to take place from December 28 to February 1, showcasing eight men’s teams and six women’s teams. Matches will be hosted at two locations: the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, Odisha.
