Fury vs Chisora 3: Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora 1 (2011)

After debuting in December 2008, Tyson Fury successfully registered himself as a promising heavyweight prospect and climbed the success ladder pretty fast. He collided with Dereck Chisora at the Wembley Arena in June 2011 with the Commonwealth Boxing Council heavyweight belt and BBBofC British heavyweight belts at stake.

Both men were undefeated back then and had different fighting styles. Riding on a four-fight KO win streak, Chisora tried his best to apply power on Tyson Fury. Chisora threw shots with bad intentions but failed to touch ‘The Gypsy King’.

Tyson Fury emerged as the better boxer and out-punched Chisora throughout the night. Derek Chisora was left on the wrong end of a lopsided beat down. After 12-rounds, Fury comfortably earned a unanimous decision win with three judges scoring the contest 118-111, 117-112, 117-112 in his favour.

Fury vs Chisora 3: Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora 2 (2014)

After Fury vs Chisora 1, Tyson Fury continued the unbeaten streak that he holds to this day. However, Derek Chisora fell into a losing run. He fought nine times between the first and the second contest against Fury. ‘War’ won six of them and lost three. He seemed confident about avenging Tyson Fury.

Fury vs Chisora 2 happened at the Excel Arena in Dockland, UK on November 2014. The vacant BBBofC British heavyweight title, EBU European heavyweight belt, and WBO International heavyweight title were on the line. While Tyson Fury won all of it, he managed to do it in an impressive fashion.

Fury looked dominant from the beginning and pulled off his best hits on Chisora. With almost no incoming threat from the other end, ‘The Gypsy King’ kept moving forward. He utilized his height, reach, and size brilliantly and damaged Derek Chisora for ten rounds. Chisora’s cornermen waved off the fight after round two since he had already consumed severe punishment by then.

Fury is currently 2-0 over Derek Chisora and looks likely to make it 3-0 after this weekend. It remains to be seen whether Derek Chisora can do something differently or fall before ‘The Gypsy King’ again.
