Fury vs Ruiz Jr. Boxing: Tyson Fury can put his WBC heavyweight title at stake against former champion Andy Ruiz Jr. on July 22 in the UK, per promoter Eddie Hearn. After vanquishing Dereck Chisora in an epic trilogy, Fury announced his retirement. However, he still holds the WBC title and was reportedly in talks to face Oleksandr Usyk in an undisputed clash a few months back.

Meanwhile, Andy Ruiz Jr. has apparently earned his shot at ‘The Gypsy King’ prior to everyone. When asked about Tyson Fury’s next opponent, Eddie Hearn told Boxing King Media, “Andy Ruiz Jr., July 22nd.”

35-2 as a professional, Andy Ruiz Jr. is dubbed ‘The Destroyer’ for his impeccable knockout abilities. In an active career of 22 KO wins, Ruiz Jr. is the first and only man to knock out Anthony Joshua in a professional fight.

Furthermore, Andy Ruiz Jr. is also the first and only Mexican World Heavyweight Champion in pro-boxing history. He is one of the most prolific boxers of the generation and shall clearly be a commendable matchup for ‘The Gypsy King’.

Meanwhile, Eddie Hearn is also concerned about Anthony Joshua’s future and is planning to host a super-fight for him in December. After losing the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, ‘AJ’ is no longer relevant in the heavyweight title picture.

He returned to the win column against Jermaine Franklin and shall face an A-lister in either Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury next. Per Hearn, either of the two heavyweight stalwarts can face AJ’ by the end of this year in Saudi Arabia.
