It has been stated by Gervonta Davis that he will not be returning to the ring until early 2024. The WBA lightweight champion recently posted video of himself hitting the pads, showcasing his incredible hand speed, in spite of the announcement.

Fans of the American boxing great are unsure if the recently leaked video, which shows off his incredible hand speed on the pads, has been accelerated or not.

Gervonta Davis Depicts Insane Hand Speed
In January of 2023, Davis defeated Ryan Garcia, and in April, he stopped Hector Luis Garcia in their fights.
However, he was arrested in June and held for 44 days in total.
Tank took a plea agreement and pled guilty to four traffic offenses, which originally spared him from jail time for his hit-and-run automobile accident in November 2020 that left four people injured.
Davis was supposed to serve out the remainder of his time in jail after breaking the conditions of his home detention order, but that happened less than a month after Davis was sentenced.
After being freed in July, he had been planning to return to the ring in late 2023 or early 2024.
Even though it’s now official that he won’t fight until the new year, he’s returned to the gym.
