HS Prannoy vs Lin Yu-hsien

World number nine Prannoy hardly broke a sweat as he took just 26 minutes to dispatch local shuttler Lin Yu-hsien 21-11 21-10 in the opening round of the BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament.

Prannoy started the proceedings slowly in the contest. Trailing 2-3, he soon took four points on the trot to go up 6-3. It became a neck-to-neck battle soon as Lin gave a good fight. A cross-court smash from Prannoy helped him enter the interval with a slender 11-10 lead.

Prannoy switched gears soon after the interval. He brought forth his attacking game and with eight successive points, went up 19-10. After picking up just a solitary point, couple of errors from Lin helped Prannoy win the first game comfortably 21-10.
