The second-seeded Indian pair, the 2022 World Championships bronze medallist, was solid in defence and dished out an attacking game to outwit the world No. 21 pair 21-19, 24-22 in 54 minutes.
Overall, it was the fifth career world tour title for the Indian pair, who had claimed the India Open and French Open last year, besides securing the Thailand Open in 2019 and Hyerabad Open in 2018.
Satwik and Chirag displaying their attacking prowess throughout the contest to clinch a straight game win in the final. The Indians started off the contest with a 3-1 lead. However the Chinese pair managed to level the scores 6-6. The Indians though didn’t ;et them take the lead and entered the mid-game interval with a 11-8 lead.

The Chinese pair fought back by taking four successive points and reduced the deficit to 17-18. A smash from Chirag then gave the Indians two point lead. They soon got to the game point and a smash from Satwiksairaj Rankireddy sealed the first game.
In the second game, the Indians trailed early. They however came back and both the pairs fought tooth and nail. Scores were level until 8-8. The Indian pair manages to eke out a two-point lead and entered the interval.
From 11-11 after the break, three successive points from the Indians helped them take a sizeable lead. However errors from the Indian side soon levelled the scores 16-16. They held the nerves and got to the championship point after a net-error from the Chinese.
But the Chinese manages to save the points and took a 22-21 lead. But a net chord from them soon followed helping the Indians level 22-22. Pouncing on the opportunity, the Indians got another championship point ad this time a net-chord from the Chinese helped them seal the match.
