Avinash Sable started well and, at one point, looked like a real contender, but he slowed down after a quick start and finished sixth. However, in this process, he was able to break his own national record of 8:11.20, finishing this time in 8:09.91.

Kishore Jena disappoints with his javelin!

Whereas on the one hand, steeplechaser Avinash Sable broke his own national record, on the other hand, javelin thrower Kishore Jena disappointed many Indian viewers by finishing eighth at the Paris Diamond League. It was surely a watershed moment for Kishore Jena before the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Apart from Neeraj Chopra, he is also one with the potential to claim medals at the Olympics, but his recent performances have not given hope. His best throw of 78.10 m came on his very first attempt, but he failed to improve on that score. Also, he fouled twice in the third and fourth attempts, ultimately slipping to the eighth spot. Meanwhile, German Julian Weber’s throw of 85.91m in the fifth attempt secured him first place.
