Iga Swiatek in first quarter
First Quarter
Iga Swiatek is making her return to the tour after an injury-lay-off. The top seed has received a first round bye and she will meet either Chen Qinwen of China or Alycia Parks in the second round. The defending champion is likely to set up a quarterfinal clash against 8th seed Maria Sakkari. The Greek will begin her campaign against Karolina Pliskova in the first round.Ekaterina Alexandrova and Donna Vekic are the remaining players in the quarter.
Second Quarter
Ons Jabeur leads second quarter
Third seed Ons Jabeur will be in action in the tournament as the third seed. She will begin her campaign in the second round. She will have a good challenge against either Jelena Ostapenko or Emma Raducanu. Raducanu enters the tournament as a wildcard entrant.
The quarter also has in-form Elena Rybakina. She is the sixth seed in the tournament. The Kazakhstan player will begin her campaign against wildcard entrant Jule Niemeier in the first round.
