Stuttgart Open Highlights: Iga Swiatek has won her second successive Stuttgart Open title. She defeated second seed Arynan Sabalenka 6-3, 6-4 to successfully defend her title. In a rematch of last year’s final, the top two players in the WTA Tour rankings blasted the ball for 1 hour and 50 minutes before Swiatek captured her 13th career singles title on the indoor clay of Stuttgart. By winning her second singles trophy of the year, Swiatek tied Sabalenka and Belinda Bencic for the most titles won so far this season. Sunday’s victory was also Swiatek’s 20th match-win of the year.
Swiatek defended a title for the third time in her career, having previously done so at 2022 Rome and at Doha this year. Swiatek has pulled off two of the three title defenses on tour so far this season; the other was Tatjana Maria’s Bogota title defense from earlier this month. The Pole, back from injury and gearing up for her French Open title defence next month.

I am so happy we are making the right decisions,” Swiatek said, following her well-timed return from injury. “It is a pretty exciting time. I will be coming back because I love this tournament.”
Both the players started off the contest on a positive note. Swiatek slowly managed to earn a breakpoint as she took a 5-3 lead in the first set. She then easily held her serve to clinch the first set on her second set point.
In the second set, Swiatek managed to break Sabalenka early and took 2-0 lead.It was enough for the World No.1 as she managed to hold her serve and went on to seal a straight set victory. While Swiatek won it for a second consecutive time, it was Sabalenka’s third straight loss in the final in Stuttgart.
