Manu Bhaker created history at the Paris Olympics after bagging her second bronze medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh as the duo bagged a bronze medal in the mixed team 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics. The win marked the second medal for Manu at the Summer Games, thereby becoming the first Indian to win two medals in an Olympics. PM Modi hailed the skiils and teamwork displayed by the duo and went on to heap praise on Bhaker for her second consecutive medal.

I feel proud and a lot of gratitude that we did this. Thank you so much for all the blessings and love,” Manu Bhaker said after winning her second medal at the Paris Olympics.

The duo outclassed their South Korean counterparts, displaying pure dominance in the competition. The win helps India climb up on the medal tally of the ongoing Paris Olympics.

India’s road to bronze medal in mixed doubles

The pair finished third in the qualification round in Chateauroux, France, on Monday, with a total score of 580. Manu, who recently won a bronze medal in the individual event, and Sarabjot were set to face South Korea’s Oh Ye Jin and Lee Wonho, who finished fourth with a score of 579, in the bronze-medal match on Tuesday.
