The Hockey India League (HIL) auction took place on Sunday, Indian men’s team captain Harmanpreet Singh emerged as the most expensive player, with Soorma Hockey Club acquiring this star drag-flicker for ₹78 lakh. All eight franchises spent significant amounts to secure the services of the key players from the Indian men’s hockey team. Indian defender Jugraj Singh becomes the most expensive signing for the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers, the franchise bought him for 48 Lakh rupees in the auction.
