Can’t wait for the 26th of July – Sharath Kamal
The Olympics opening ceremony will take place on the 26th of July. This will be the day when Sharath Kamal will hold the tricolour at the biggest sports festival.
“This is a moment of great pride and honour because it’s not just for myself, but also table tennis at large. Very few table tennis players across the world have been flag bearers. Personally, for me, I think that for the number of years that I’ve put into international service, this is a great way to feel the recognition coming back to me. The visual has run through my mind so many times since I’ve been announced as a flag bearer. I really can’t wait for the 26th of July when PV Sindhu and I will actually have the flag in our hands and lead the contingent at the opening ceremony,” Sharath said.
Sharath Kamal Will Lead the Men’s Team
