Rohan Bopanna along with his Australian partner Matthew Ebden have stormed into the final of the men’s double in the Australian Open 2024 on Friday. The Indian tennis star also became the oldest player to reach the men’s doubles No. 1 spot in rankings. Ahead of the Australian Open final clash with Italian pair Andrea Vavassori and Simone Bolelli on Saturday, here are Rohan Bopanna’s records that he has made in his career.
The pair defeated the unseeded duo of Tomas Machac and Zhizhen Zhang 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(10-7) to enter the final. Rohan will feature first time in the men’s doubles final of the Australian Open.
Earlier, Rohan-Matthew claimed a straight-set victory over Máximo González and Andrés Molteni in the Australian Open 2024 quarterfinal to reach the apex of the ATP doubles ranking for the first time.
