Rohan Bopanna might be in the twilight of his career, but his performances are hardly coming down. In fact, he might just be playing the best tennis of his, as he made yet another final with his Australian partner Matthew Ebden. Playing at the Shanghai Masters, the duo made yet another final.
Rohan Bopanna, 43, broke his own record of making a Masters final. Apart from that, he also made it to the top 5 of the ATP doubles ranking, once again in his career. He had last achieved the feat 10 years back, in October 2013. Not just that, he is in third place in the ATP Race to World Tour Finals.

The pair beat France’s Fabien Reboul/Sadio Doumbia 7-6 (0), 4-6, [10-2] in the semifinal. In the final, they will be up against Marcel Granollers/Horacio Ceballos on Saturday.
Staggering Records in 2023
Matthew Ebden and his veteran Indian partner first made the Monte-Carlo Masters final this year but lost against Ivan Dodig and Austin Krajicek. Their first title came at Qatar Open where they beat the world No. 1 pair Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final.
Then in the Madrid Open final Bopanna/Ebden lost to Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov. Their biggest achievement of the year was when they reached the final of the US Open, a couple of months back.
