Rohan Bopanna-N Sriram Balaji match postponed due to rain, set for tomorrow at Paris Olympics 2024

The Indian pair will be aiming to improve upon India's previous Olympic performances in tennis and secure a medal for the country.

Indian tennis veteran Rohan Bopanna is set to make his third Olympic appearance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, teaming up with N Sriram Balaji in the men’s doubles event. The match was supposed to take place today, but, the rain played a spoilsport as the game got postponed due to rain. The duo will kick off their campaign against the French pair of Gael Monfils and Edouard Roger-Vasselin tomorrow.

Rohan Bopanna: Wealth of experience

Rohan Bopanna, a two-time Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1, brings a wealth of experience to the team. His previous Olympic appearances include a fourth-place finish in mixed doubles at Rio 2016 and a first-round exit in the men’s doubles event at London 2012.

Balaji, ranked world No. 65, is making his Olympic debut. The duo will face stiff competition, with top-seeded Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori emerging as strong contenders for the gold medal.

Daniil Medvedev next for Rohan Bopanna-N Sriram Balaji?

If Bopanna and Balaji can navigate past their opening round opponents, they will face either the Russian pair of Daniil Medvedev and Roman Safiullin or the second-seeded German duo of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz.
