Rohan Bopanna: Wealth of experience
Rohan Bopanna, a two-time Grand Slam champion and former world No. 1, brings a wealth of experience to the team. His previous Olympic appearances include a fourth-place finish in mixed doubles at Rio 2016 and a first-round exit in the men’s doubles event at London 2012.
Balaji, ranked world No. 65, is making his Olympic debut. The duo will face stiff competition, with top-seeded Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori emerging as strong contenders for the gold medal.
Daniil Medvedev next for Rohan Bopanna-N Sriram Balaji?
If Bopanna and Balaji can navigate past their opening round opponents, they will face either the Russian pair of Daniil Medvedev and Roman Safiullin or the second-seeded German duo of Kevin Krawietz and Tim Putz.
The Indian pair will be aiming to improve upon India’s previous Olympic performances in tennis and secure a medal for the country. With Bopanna’s experience and Balaji’s rising form, the duo has the potential to make a significant impact at the Paris Games.
