Indian table tennis ace Sharath Kamal recently had one such encounter, meeting the legendary tennis player Rafael Nadal in the Olympic village in Paris.
Kamal shared a photo on social media capturing the moment with the 2008 Olympic gold medalist. He also uploaded a photo from 2008, where he met the tennis legend.
The image showcases the Olympic spirit, where champions from different sports come together under one roof.
The flag bearer for India
Sharath Kamal will be the flag bearer for India at the opening ceremony along with PV Sindhu. Sindhu and Kamal will be holing the tricolor during the parade at the opening ceremony.
T.T men’s team leader
Sharath will also be leading the Indian men’s table tennis team at the Paris Olympics. Him along with Manav Thakkar and Harmeet Desai will be playing at the team event.
