Former India cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid was the latest among the legends to be spotted at the Paris Olympics. The Karnataka star was in attendance for Rohan Bopanna and Sriram Balaji’s first match in the men’s doubles. The Indian duo suffered a defeat at the hands of their French opponents, denting India’s medal hopes early in the tournament.
Rahul Dravid at Paris Olympics!
Heartbreak for India!
Bopanna and Balaji were no match for their opponents and lost the game 5-7, 2-6. While the seasoned Bopanna looked out of touch throughout the game, Balaji was the only one putting up a fight. The opponents however used Bopanna’s form in their favour and targeted him, while forcing Balaji to either commit errors or hit the nets only.
The Games will be the last one for Bopanna, as he has already announced his decision to retire after the Paris Olympics.
