Rafael Nadal posted a picture with his new coaching team on his Instagram account on Monday, 19th December. He wrote, “Hello everyone. I want to inform you of the incorporation of Gustavo Marcaccio to the technical team. Gustavo has been working at the Rafael Nadal Academy since April 2021 and I understand that he is a good addition to the team. It will surely help us a lot to continue on the path. Welcome Gustavo!”

Gustavo Marcaccio is a former player, who was World No. 284 in the Men’s Singles. He will join hands with Carlos Moya and Marc Lopez in the Spaniard’s coaching team.

Earlier this week Nadal ended his 18-year long association with coach Francisco Roig. It was under Roig that Nadal won his first Grand Slam title in 2005. He was a constant presence in Nadal’s coaching team throughout the 18 years eventhough other members of his coaching team were replaced over the years.
