India’s ace Badminton player PV Sindhu is sharpening her skills under the watchful eye of legendary player Prakash Padukone at a training camp in Saarbrucken, Germany.
This comes after Padukone was announced to travel with the Indian badminton squad as the mentor for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
In a post on X (formerly known as twitter) PV Sindhu was seen taking instructions from Prakash Padukone.
PV Sindhu wrote, “Few people have a knack for teaching or pushing a player better than he does. Truly the father of Indian badminton”.
The training camp in Germany has important significance before the Paris Olympics. After Germany, Sindhu and Padukone will be travelling to Paris, where Sindhu will be aiming to add another Olympic medal to her collection.

Vimal Kumar, a former India coach, is currently training Lakshya Sen, while Agus is coaching Sindhu.
Academy produced champions
The Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy in Bengaluru has a track record of bringing champions. Along with PV Sindhu, the academy has nurtured men’s player Lakshya Sen, who’ll also be taking part in the Paris Olympics.
