PV Sindhu Navy Anthem: Indian shuttler and two-time Olympic champion PV Sindhu is part of the shoot for an upcoming anthem for the Indian Navy named Call of the Blue Waters. The 27-year old Badminton star has shared a video from the shooting spot of the song on her social media accounts on Friday. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Filming the song #callofthebluewaters on the ship…. I’m sure it will inspire the youth to join the Indian Navy.” She further revealed the release date of the song by adding, “2 more days to go …..Unveiling by the President of India in the presence of Defence Minister and other dignitaries…Grateful to #indiannavy for this opportunity…”
In the video, Sindhu was seen performing the rope ride in the middle of the sea from one Naval ship to another. It appears that the video was shot by singer and composer Shankar Mahadevan as his voice is audible as he shouts, “Sindhu…Look here, all the best”
Sindhu has been giving a teaser about her association with the Indian Navy for this song video for the last few days, she had earlier shared a photo of her on a Naval ship INS Kochi and had also posted a photo holding the Indian flag aloft.

Sindhu is currently recovering from an ankle injury that she sustained during the Commonwealth Games this year. Despite winning the Gold medal in the tournament, she was unable to participate in any other tournaments after that. She had qualified for the season-ending BWF World Tour finals, that is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 7th December 2022. The World No.7 is eyeing a return to the BWF Tour during the Indian Open in January.
