India’s renowned badminton player and two-time Olympic medalist, PV Sindhu has flown to England to participate in the prestigious All England Tournament. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Birmingham, England, from March 11 to 16. Sindhu has shared her excitement with fans by posting on Instagram about her journey.
This tournament is considered one of the most important events in the badminton calendar, and Sindhu will represent India alongside Malvika Bansod in the women’s singles category. Both players are entering the competition unseeded, making the path to victory challenging. Sindhu will be playing her first match against South Korea’s 22nd ranked player Ga Eun Kim.

Challenges ahead for Sindhu
PV Sindhu, who is ranked 15th in the world rankings, has faced a challenging year in 2025 so far. At the Indonesia Masters, she was knocked out in the round of 32, and in the prestigious Indian Open, she only made it to the quarter-finals. After a month-long break from tournaments in February, she is gearing up to make a strong comeback at the All England. Sindhu has been working hard on her game during this hiatus, aiming to regain her top form.
India’s representation in Men’s events at all England
In the men’s categories hopes are high with Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty being the only seeded players from India in men’s doubles. Meanwhile, in men’s singles, players like Kidambi Srikanth and Priyanshu Rajawat are set to take on the competition, striving to win this tournament.
New coach for Sindhu in 2025
In January 2025, PV Sindhu brought on board a new Indonesian coach, Irwanshyah Adi Oratana, who is known for grooming top singles players like Jonathan Christie and Anthony Ginting. With his guidance, Sindhu will be looking to improve her game now.
