Bengal Warriors vs Tamil Thalaivas [7.30 PM]

Bengal Warriors are currently riding low on confidence, having lost four out of their last five games. Captain Maninder Singh has been the only positive for the defending champions as he has been effective in the raids Apart from Maninder, the team does not have another solid raider and that has been one of the main reasons for the team’s lackluster performance this year.

Raider Sukesh Hegde is out of form and Mohammad Nabhibhaksh’s form has been inconsistent in the raids. Against a team like Tamil Thalaivas that has a solid defence, Manpreet would need another good raider to complement him and that would be something that the Warriors think-tank would ponder.

Tamil Thalaivas enter this contest on the back of a stunning 45-26 victory against Haryana Steelers in their previous encounter. For the Thalaivas, captain Surjeet Singh and Sagar have emerged as a force to reckon with in the defence. Both the defenders occupy the top two spots in the list of most tackle points having earned 30 and 28 points respectively. Sagar also has the most High 5s in the league (4). In the raiding department Manjeet and Ajinkya Pawar have showed class.

Having just lost a single game in this season so far, they will look to continue their ascendancy when the face Bengal.

U Mumba vs Puneri Paltan [8.30 PM]

An in-form U Mumba is missing star raider Ajith Kumar, who suffered a back injury and missed the game against Patna Pirates. Without him, their raiding department is lacking spice. In Ajith and Abhishek Singh, U Mumba have a potent raiding duo. With Ajith missing out, Abhishek couldn’t do anything single-handedly as U Mumba surrendered themselves to Patna with a huge 20 point deficit.

They have to quickly resurrect themselves when they face Puneri Paltan. Paltan are currently placed just ahead of bottom dwellers Telugu Titans. With Ajith likely to sit out, U Mumba will need to find a solid raider who could fit in Ajith’s shoes.

Puneri Paltan enters into this contest after having defeated defending champions Bengal Warriors in their previous game. Pune’s raider Aslam Inamdar scored his career-best 17 raid points against Bengal while defender Abinesh Nadarajan took a brilliant High 5.

Apart from Aslam, who is currently the best raider for the Paltan, they also have Monu Goyat and Pankaj Mohite who are complementing Aslam quite effectively in the raids. In the defence they have the services of Vishal Bhardwaj along with Abinesh Nadarajan with the duo having picked up 35 tackle points so far.
