In PKL, there is a saying, ‘if you can escape Fazel Atrachali’s double-thigh hold, only then you are considered a good raider’. And on Sunday, during the Gujarat Giants vs Bengaluru Bulls match, young raider Neeraj Narwal earned the tag of being a ‘good raider’, as he escaped a crushing tackle by Fazel. In the fourth match of Pro Kabaddi 2023, Joginder Narwal’s son Neeraj showed, why he is the one to watch out for in the future.
During the first half of the Gujarat Giants vs Bengaluru Bulls match, Neeraj went to raid, against a defence of six. First, he entered from the right flank, moved to the center, and went for a hand touch. Failing to do so, he tried to get a reverse toe touch on Fazel and failed again. The third time he went forward, Fazel grabbed him from the back and locked Neeraj completely along with Sombir. But the raider wriggled his way through to touch the line and get two points.

Meanwhile, that raid by Neeraj eventually had no impact on the result of the match. Bulls won the match 34-31, on the back of some excellent raiding by Sonu Jaglan, once again. He scored 12 points to take his side home. Sombir returned with a Super 5.
