The Indian Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL) is all set to launch its highly anticipated inaugural season on October 4th, 2024, positioning itself as a direct rival to the established Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). With eight teams participating, the tournament will run from October 4th to 19th at the Tau Devi Lal Indoor Stadium in Panchkula, Haryana.
While PKL remains the more prominent league, with 12 teams and its 11th season scheduled to begin on October 18th, the IPKL is determined to carve out its own space in the competitive world of kabaddi.

As excitement builds for the IPKL, several franchisees have already announced their captains. Leading the charge for Haryana Hurricane is Shiv Kumar, renowned for his relentless style and fierce determination. The team has also unveiled a bold new jersey, reflecting its power and intimidation on the mat.
For the Rajasthan Rulers, Kapil Narwal will captain the side, with a strong focus on strategic gameplay and tactical execution. Meanwhile, Vikas Dahiya has been appointed captain of the Delhi Dragons, with his agility and quick decision-making set to be crucial in leading his team to success.
The remaining teams include UP Titan, Punjab Paltan, Gujarat Gladiators, Mumbai Marathas, and Bengaluru Bison, all ready to compete fiercely in the inaugural edition.
