All good things come to an end, and it seems, as has been the trend in PKL Auction 2024, the glittering careers of a few kabaddi players might just be coming to an end. On Friday, the biggest shock of the day came when former India skipper and PKL winner Deepak Hooda was not picked by any franchise, for Pro Kabaddi season 11. But that is not the only shocking news that came our way. InsideSport takes a look at all the players, who, legends in their own right, were not picked by any teams.
Deepak Hooda (All-Rounder)
From category C, Deepak Hooda wasn’t considered good enough to be part of any team. The Arjuna Awardee played last in the PKL in 2022 for Bengal Warriors, and since then hasn’t played a match. His best season came with Jaipur Pink Panthers in 2018, where he scored 208 points.
Vishal Bhardwaj (Defender)
India cap who was part of the Asian Games gold-winning team, wasn’t considered good enough to be part of any PKL team. Vishal Bhardwaj, one of the most successful defenders in the league, did not have any bidders for Pro Kabaddi 2024. Last year, with Dabang Delhi, he scored 38 points in 19 matches.
Surender Nada (Defender)
Even though Nada’s non-inclusion in any team doesn’t come as a surprise, but it does signify an end of an era. He emerged as a defender who was considered the best by many. But age and poor form didn’t help his case and was overlooked in PKL Auction 2024.

Rahul Chaudhari (Raider)
Once considered the poster-boy of PKL at one tine, Chaudhari was an exceptional raider. His association with the Telugu Titans is most remembered, where he was at the heights of his prowess. Last year, in four matches, he only scored 6 points, while in the one before that, he had 73 from 21.
