PKL Auction 2021 Live: Top 3 players to watch out for from New Young Players category on Day 1 of the Pro Kabaddi auction – On Day 1 of the PKL auction 2021, New Young Players will go under the hammer. As many as 96 players will be auctioned on Day 1. The NYP will be divided into three categories all-rounders, raiders and defenders. The PKL baton was carried by the veterans of the game like Manjeet Chhilar and Ajay Thakur in the first few seasons while it was transferred to Pradeep Narwal and Rohit Kumar in the last few seasons. Now it is time for the next batch of Kabbadi stars to take over and rule the game.
In the last seasons, Naveen Kumar, Siddharth Desai and Sumit Sangwan rose to the limelight in their debut season. All 12 teams will once again look at NYP as a great option to pick raw talent and make them big stars.

Galla Raju Reddy
Another raider who features in the list is Galla Raju Reddy of Telangana. Playing for his state, he played at the Khelo India Youth Games in 2020, where he scored a Super-10 for the state. He was also named Most Valuable Player in Telangana Premier Kabaddi League Season 3 where he scored more than 130 raid points. He has also won a gold medal for the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in the 46th Junior National Kabaddi Championship. In the 68th Senior National Kabaddi Championship, he finished as the top raider for Telangana state.

Rathan K
After scoring fifth-highest raid points in the 68th Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship Rathan K will be among top picks from the New Young Player’s category. Rathan K, who hails from Karnataka, scored 55 raid points in the competition. Rathan is 26-year-old and has raiding moves like jumps and escapes.
Meetu Sharma
Meetu Sharma, the new age Kabaddi sensation, whose name has been making the rounds in the last 1 year. He has been having a dream year since we all saw him for the first time at 46th Junior Nationals at Rohtak where he scored a similar 52 points and became the highest scoring raider from the tournament. In the 47th Junior National Kabaddi Championship, Meetu was again at his best and left no stone unturned. Scoring 52 points in 4 knockout matches for SAI and played an important role in SAI’s victory in the tournament.
