The much awaited 10th edition of the Pro Kabaddi League is all set to begin on 2nd December, Saturday. The PKL 2023 will kick-start with the clash between Gujarat Giants and Telugu Titans at the TransStadia in Ahmedabad. The match will begin at 7.30 PM IST. Both the teams are yet to win a title in the league. They look to finally end their wait this year. Both the teams will have star players leading the teams. The league’s best defender Fazel Atrachali returns to Gujarat Giants after his stint with the team in 2017.
The Telugu Titans meanwhile will be led by Pawan Sehrawat. The team went all out at the auction and secured the Indian National Kabaddi team captain for a record fee of 2.6 crores.

Gujarat Giants
Gujarat Giants failed to qualify for the playoffs last season by finishing eighth on the points table. This year, coach Ram Meher Singh has made some significant changes to the squad. Apart from Fazel Atrachali, the team also has another experienced Iranian in Mohammad Nabhibhaksh.
Meanwhile Rakesh Sangroya and Prateek Dahiya will continue to lead the team in the raiding department. Rohit Gulia, who impressed with his all-round ability for Patna Pirates last year has been bought by the Giants this year. He will lend a perfect balance.

Telugu Titans
Telugu Titans finished at the bottom of the points table in the last two editions. They now eye redemption in the league. Telugu Titans were once one of the top sides in the league. However in the last five season, the team did not even reach the playoffs.
Under the leadership of Pawan Sehrawat, the Hyderabad-based franchise eye turnaround of fortunes. While Sehrawat will be leading the raids, Parvesh Bhainswal will head the team’s defence.
