PKL makes official announcement – The PKL on Tuesday evening accepted the appeal and announced, “We are happy to announce that we will invite the players from the finals of Men’s Kabaddi at Khelo India University Games 2021 to the PKL Player auction pool of the forthcoming PKL season 9. This is in line with our vision to promote young kabaddi talent in the country.”
Anurag Thakur appeals to the PKL management – Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur attended the Men’s and Women’s Kabaddi finals at Khelo India University on May 3. He personally greeted players to wish them luck. Games were going on at the Kanteerava stadium in Bangalore. Initiative of Khelo India University Game – The Khelo India University Games programme was introduced by the Indian Government in 2020. Khelo India University Games was launched after the success of Khelo India Youth Games. It was to revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports played in India and revive the country’s sports culture.
