PKL 2022 HIGHLIGHTS – PKL 9 LIVE Streaming  – On the second day of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 (PKL 9), there were two ties between the teams and one comprehensive victory by Haryana Steelers. Haryana defeated former champions Bengal Warriors by 41-33. While earlier, Tamil Thalaivas played a tie with Gujarat Giants. Haryana Steelers defeated Bengal Warriors by 41-33. At half-time, it was Bengal that was leading Haryana Steelers by a point in the last PKL match of the day on Saturday.

Earlier in the evening, Pawan Sehrawat got injured in the first half but Tamil Thalaivas still were able to play a thrilling draw against Gujarat Giants. Score at full-time read 31-31. Tamil Thalaivas were trailing Gujarat Giants 16-18 at half-time. This is the second tie of the day.

Earlier, in the first match on Saturday, Patna Pirates and Puneri Paltan shared points on the second day of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 9 (PKL 9). The thrilling match between both sides ended in a 34-34 draw. Puneri Paltan was leading 23-16 vs Patna Pirates at Half-Time. But Patna up their ante to force a draw against Puneri.

All three matches of matchday 2 were held at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru.

PKL 9 LIVE: Patna Pirates VS Puneri Paltan

Puneri Paltan’s Aslam Inamdar put up a fantastic performance to help his team attain a seven-point lead in the first half, but the three-time champions Patna Pirates fought back through raider Sachin’s efforts in the second half and ensured that the game ended in a tie at 34-34.

Aslam Inamdar and Mohit Goyat chipped in raids to help Puneri Paltan put their noses in front at 5-3 in the 5th minute. Patna Pirates’ defender Sunil pulled off a couple of fantastic tackles, but Puneri Paltan kept inching forward.

However, the Pirates inflicted an ALL OUT in the 11th minute to take a three-point lead at 12-9. But, moments later, Puneri Paltan reduced Patna to two members on the mat and regained the lead at 15-13. Soon after, Puneri Paltan’s Alankar Patil tackled Rohit Gulia to carry out an ALL OUT. The team from Pune rode on the momentum and led comfortably at 23-16 at the end of the first half.

The Pirates showed a bit more urgency in the second half. Sachin chipped in with a couple of raids as the Pirates got closer to Puneri’s score. In the 27th minute, the Patna side effected an ALL OUT and gained the lead at 26-24. Soon after, Rohit Gulia pulled off a magnificent raid to help the Pirates widen their lead.

However, the Pune side fought back through raids from Akash Shinde and Aslam Inamdar and levelled the scores at 30-30. Both sides kept winning points in tandem and were locked at 34-34 in the final minute of the match. However, the Patna Pirates and Puneri Paltan treaded carefully and were satisfied with a tied result in the end.

Gujarat Giants VS Tamil Thalaivas

PKL 2022 LIVE: The Tamil Thalaivas and Gujarat Giants fought neck-to-neck throughout the match as the match ended in a 31-31 tie at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. The Tamil Thalaivas had debutant Narender register a SUPER 10 while Rakesh scored 13 points for the Gujarat Giants.

The Tamil Thalaivas and Gujarat Giants were off the blocks quickly with Rakesh and Narender picking up the first points for their sides. Both teams then held strong in the defensive unit and weren’t taking too many chances in their raids. The Giants rode on Rakesh and Ranjit’s points and took the lead at the midway stage of the first half.

The Thalaivas turned to Himanshu, Narender and Ajinkya Pawar for the impetus, while the Giants looked to build on their lead. Rakesh and Ranjit continued to lead the charge for the Giants, while in the other corner, Sahil Gulia was outstanding in marshalling the defence for the Thalaivas. At the half-way stage, the Giants led 18-16 in what was turning out to be spicy contest.

The Thalaivas kicked off the second half with the stellar Narender continuing to perform well before M Abishek’s tackle gave them their first ALL OUT, and subsequently the lead.

The early exchanges of the second essay was a quiet affair with the Korean Dong Geon Lee also registering his first points.

The Thalaivas were starting to up the ante after the early lull but found the Giants tough to break through. Nonetheless, Narender wasn’t perturbed and kept chipping away, who had a 3-point lead with just over 9 minutes to go.

Abishek was keeping strong in defence while Narender went on to get his SUPER 10 on debut and the Thalaivas were motoring along. With just under 5 minutes in the game, the Giants needed to overturn a 4-point lead.

Rakesh suddenly went through the gears in the final minutes, picking up crucial raid points and dragging the Giants back into the game as both sides were tied 31-31 with less than a minute to go. Eventually, the teams treaded carefully and settled for a 31-31 tie.

Haryana Steelers emerged victorious in a thrilling encounter in the final game of Saturday evening of vivo Pro Kabaddi League Season 9, as they went past gritty Bengal Warriors to earn a 41-33 win at the Shree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in Bengaluru. For the Steelers, Manjeet Dahiya finished with 19 points, while all-rounder Nitin Rawal chipped in with 7 points to help their team secure a thumping win.

It was the mighty Maninder Singh who started the proceedings from Bengal Warriors, but Haryana Steelers right cover Mohit tackled the experienced raider to give Steelers their opening point. With Haryana Steelers Vice-Captain Manjeet Dahiya quickly earning a raid point with a bonus, Haryana Steelers took an early lead at 4-1. Trailing early on, Bengal Warriors showcased stunning defensive work with Girish Maruti Ernak impressing with his reflexive actions to get the very dangerous Meetu out twice in a row.

With 10 minutes gone in the first half, and the scoreline almost at par, one could cut the tension at both the dugouts with a butter knife. But the momentum of the game appeared to change when Manjeet got Shubham Shinde out with the stretch of his right hand, and Steelers, within a matter of a couple of points, extended the lead by four points. But Girish Maruti Ernak lit up the mat with his superb defence work and brought Bengal Warriors back into the contest, bossing around the Haryana Steelers raiders. Bengal Warriors took a 13-12 lead at half-time with Girish earning 6 points in that thrilling first half.

The second half started with Nitin Rawal giving Haryana Steelers a super-start with a SUPER RAID along with a bonus point. Nitin Rawal continued his superb work in defence as well, as he put on a herculean effort to get hold of Manjeet, as Haryana Steelers inflicted a SUPER TACKLE to further increase their lead to 18-14. The tables turned once again as Bengal Warriors inflicted an ALL OUT on Haryana Steelers to close the gap to 19-20. As both teams continued to maintain the scoreline at par, the unpredictability of the encounter kept rising.

The game-changing moment came near the half-time mark in the second half when Manjeet managed to grab two raid points. The momentum of the match shifted completely in Haryana Steelers’ favour when they inflicted an ALL OUT to further extend their lead to 31-24. Manjeet earned a Super 10 to live up to the billing.

With just a few minutes left on the clock, Manjeet put the final nail in the coffin as he earned a SUPER TACKLE to hand Haryana Steelers a massive lead at 37-24. The Warriors continued to fight till the final whistle, but were unable to change the outcome as Steelers earned a comprehensive victory.
