Indian tennis star Sumit Nagal advanced to the semifinals of the ongoing Perugia Challenger, maintaining his excellent form. In the quarterfinal, the sixth-seeded Indian defeated the unseeded Maks Kasnikowski of Poland in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5.
Sumit Nagal continues stellar form
Nagal has now won eight matches in a row since the Heilbronn Challenger began in Germany. He will face the victor of the other quarterfinal match between second-seeded Laslo Djere of Serbia and unseeded Bernabé Zapata Miralles of Spain in the semi-final on Saturday.
Before defeating the unseeded Alessandro Giannessi of Italy in the pre-quarterfinal, Nagal had triumphed over the unseeded Nerman Fatic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the opening round of the tournament.

Meanwhile In Perugia, Italy, Sriram Balaji and Andre Begemann have advanced to the 2024 Internazionali di Tennis Città di Perugia final. In the doubles championship match, they will face Guido Andreozzi and Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela.
Notably at the upcoming Olympics in Paris, Sriram Balaji and Rohan Bopanna will represent India in the men’s doubles category.
