Lim Sihyeon of South Korea has rewritten the history books with a stunning world record in the individual ranking round, scoring an incredible 694 out of a possible 720. This surpasses the previous Olympic record held by her compatriot An San and the world record set by Kang Chaeyoung.
The South Korean dominance extended to the team event, where they also broke their own Olympic record with a combined score of 2046. Lim Sihyeon and Nam Suhyeon claimed the top two spots in the individual rankings, showcasing the depth of talent in the South Korean team.
