It is time for Day 9 of the Paris Olympics. In what has been a disappointing day for India, Lakshya Sen has lost the Men’s badminton semifinal to Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen 20-22, 14-21. The ace Indian shuttler had four game points in the first game but failed to convert them as the Great Dane came back hard winning the match 54 minutes. However, Lakshya will take on Malaysia’s Lee Zi Jia in the bronze medal match. On the other hand, Lovlina Borgohain has lost her match to Li Qian in the quarterfinals, ending India’s boxing medal hopes.
The only highlight of the day is India Hockey Team making the semifinals after edging past Great Britain in shootout.
