The second day of the Paris Olympics 2024 was full of mixed emotions for India. There was good news from shooting but disappointing results in archery and swimming. Manu Bhaker created history by winning the bronze medal, becoming the first Indian female shooter to win a medal at the Olympics.

Badminton
Badminton doubles matches will start at 12 PM. On Monday, the duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will face Germany’s Lamsfuss Mark and Sedel Marvin in the men’s doubles match.
After this, the women’s doubles pair of Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa, having had a disappointing start with a loss, will compete against Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida from 12:50 pm.
In the men’s singles, India’s Lakshya Sen will play against Belgium’s Julian Carregi at 5:30 pm. Sen won his first match by defeating Guatemala’s Cordon Kevin in straight games.
Shooting
In shooting, two teams from India will participate in the 10-metre air pistol mixed team event. Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh will compete in the first team, while Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema will represent the second team. This competition will start at 12:45 pm Indian time.

After a thrilling win on Saturday, the Indian men’s hockey team is set for their next challenge against Argentina. They will play against Argentina at 4:15 pm.
Archery
The women’s team’s quarter-final match did not go as planned, as the Indian team of Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Deepika Kumari lost to the Netherlands 6-0 in the quarter-finals. Today, the men’s archery team will compete in the quarterfinals. Dhiraj Bommadevara, Pravin Jadhav, and Tarundeep Rai will represent India. This match is scheduled to start at 5:45 pm.
Table Tennis
The last event of the day for India will be table tennis. After playing a top-class game against Swedish player Christina Källberg, Sreeja Akula is all set to compete in the women’s singles round of 32.
