However, Neeraj Chopra was at his best with a throw of 89.34m, his season best. This was his second best after 89.94m. On the other hand, the men’s table tennis team was poor against China too, not putting up a fight against the opponents. However, the best of the day was Vinesh Phogat who stunned Tokyo gold medalist Yui Susaki and she will now fight for gold on Wednesday.
The Indian men’s hockey team lost a valiant fight to Germany 2-3 in the semifinals. They will now take on Spain in the bronze medal match.
