The star Indian shuttler pair of Satwik and Chirag started their Olympic campaign with a win over the host pair of Lucas Corvee and Ronan Labar in two straight sets, 21-17, 21-14.

Sat-Chi had a mixed start to the game. They began with a point after the French duo made a service error. The game became competitive, with the lead switching back and forth until the score reached 5 points. However, by the mid-game interval, the Indian duo established a dominant lead of 5 points. Relying on their classic smash game, Sat-Chi eventually won the first game 20-16.
The tough tussle in the second game
In the second game, the French team learned from their mistakes and started mixing more smashes into their play. The game appeared more promising than the first one. Until the mid-game interval, the score was in the Indian pair’s favor, with Sat-Chi leading 11-8. After the break, the Indian duo maintained their advantage and won the game 21-14.
They comfortably defeated the French duo of Coree and Labar in straight sets.
