Djokovic has had an indifferent season this year as he was not allowed to participate in several tournaments due to his non-vaccination status. He missed the Australian Open and also the entire tournaments in USA that includes the US Open and has gone down the rankings. He is currently ranked World No.7 and is 10th in the road to Turin this year. However he has managed to enter the ATP Finals as he is a Grand Slam champion this year by winning the Wimbledon. According to ATP rules, who is a Grand Slam winner of the season and is within the Top 20 in the race to the ATP finals will automatically qualify for the event.
With two more tournaments remaining in Djokovic’s schedule this year, his coach Goran Ivanisovic has confirmed that his participation in the Paris is still not confirmed. Speaking to Jutarnji List, he said “It is clear that he will play in Turin, but the question remains whether he will go to Paris before that.”

Ever since winning the Wimbledon this year, Djokovic took a three month break and returned to action only at the Laver Cup last month and made his return to ATP Tour with the Tel Aviv Open in Israel, where he won the title and he followed it up by winning his 90th title career ATP title at the Astana Open.
Speaking about the two title wins, Ivanisevic said, “He played brilliantly, especially in Astana. It’s like he didn’t take a break at all and he hasn’t been in tournaments since Wimbledon.” Djokovic is currently training in Monte Carlo and is expected to confirm his participation in the Paris Masters in the upcoming days.
