Paris Olympics-bound pistol shooter Anish Bhanwala had a historic outing in the Pardini Rapid Fire Cup final, clinching the gold medal in the 25-meter rapid fire pistol event held in Suhl, Germany.
From qualification round to finals, Bhanwala dominated all
Looking at Anish Bhanwala’s journey at the Pardini rapid fire cup, starting from the qualification round, Anish was seen dominating the scoreboard with a score of 588 and 25 X-shots, which led him to the finals along with five other shooters. In the final, Anish Bhanwala maintained his consistency by scoring 35 out of 40 shots, which earned him the gold medal. It is noteworthy to mention that Bhanwala made an impact in the tournament, which featured a few top-quality shooters.
From World Championship medalists German Florian florian peter to French Clement Bessaguet, everyone was there, who set records for the silver and bronze medals with scores of 32 and 28, respectively.
Set to Represent India at Paris Olympics
It was the Asian Shooting Championships that happened last year in Changwon, Republic of Korea, where Bhanwala secured the bronze medal. Not only did this but due to that he secure the Paris Olympics 2024 quota.
