The 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event features a team of one male and one female shooter. Both athletes take turns firing 40 shots each within a time limit of 50 minutes in the qualification round. The top five teams progress to the final.

This format introduces a new dynamic to the sport, as teams must coordinate their efforts to achieve the best possible result. The mixed team event adds an element of strategy and teamwork, making it an exciting addition to the Olympic program.

India’s double Act in Mixed 10m Air Rifle

India will have two teams competing in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event at the Paris Olympics. The pairs of Sandeep Singh and Elavenil Valarivan, and Arjun Babuta and Ramita Jindal will represent the country in this new Olympic format.

The event will see 28 teams vying for the top spot. Each team consists of one male and one female shooter. In the qualification round, both partners will fire a total of 60 shots, aiming for the highest possible score. The top four teams will advance to the medal round.

The final will be a high-pressure showdown, with the top two teams contesting for gold and the third and fourth-placed teams battling for bronze.

India will be looking to make a strong start to their Olympic campaign in this event, with the potential to win a medal on the opening day of competition.
