The 2023 Golden Spike Ostrava Athletics meet will be the 11th World Athletics Continental Tour Gold meeting of the season. Neeraj Chopra will face challenge from Grenada’s two-time world gold medallist Anderson Peters and Czech Republic’s bronze medallist Jakub Vadlejch in the Athetics meet.

Neeraj has a busy season ahead. The World Championship silver medallist is all set to kickstart action this year at the Doha Diamond League Meet on 5th May. Having missed the Doha leg of the Diamond League last year, Neeraj is gearing up for the challenge. He will face stiff challenge from World Champion Anderson Peters and Olympic Silver medallist Jakub Vadlejch.

The 25-year-old was last seen in action at the Diamond League. He won the coveted title in September last year at the  finals in Zurich. With that he created history by becoming the first Indian athlete to win the trophy.

Neeraj Chopra currently has a national record throw of 89.94m. It was achieved during the Diamond League meet in Stockholm last year.He is now aiming to breach the 90m mark that has been eluding him for long. Neeraj has other big events like the World Championship and the Asian Games lined up later this year.
