The annual badminton tournament began in 2012 as the French International. The name of the tournament was changed to Orleans International in 2015. From 2018, it came to be knows as Orleans Masters and became a BWF Super 100 tournament. This will be the 10th edition of the tournament, which is scheduled to be played from 29th March to 3rd April 2022.

- 2019 World Championship bronze medallist Sai Praneeth is the first seed in the men’s singles.
- He has been granted a bye in the first round and will begin his campaign only from the second round.
- Apart from him, no other Indian has been seeded in the singles. Other Indians in the men’s singles includes Rahul Yadav Chittaboina, who is the in the same quarter as that of Sai Praneeth.
- Priyanshu Rajawat and Shubhankar Dey will face each other in the first round. So will Kaushal Dharmer and Chirag Sen.
- Mithun Manjunath and Kartikey Kumar too will face each other in the opening round. Siril Verma will face France’s Arnaud Merkle in the first round. While, Kiran George will face Netherland’s Joran Kweekel.

- Meanwhile, Aakarshi Kashyap will take on Indonesia’s Yulia Susanto. Anupama Upadhyay will face Belgium’s fifth seeded Lianne Tan in the opening fixture.
