Norway chess tournament: Another giant bites dust as Praggnanandhaa downs world champion Ding Liren

Praggnanandhaa has been the talk of the town lately after the chess prodigy downed Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana in consecutive days.

After defeating World no. 1 and 2 Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana, Praggnanandhaa produced yet another upset on Tuesday when he beat world champion Ding Liren in the armageddon game at the Norway Chess tournament on Monday.

Praggnanandhaa keeps up impressive form

When it came to the armageddon game, Ding Liren faltered, allowing the young Indian prodigy to claim another high-profile victory, despite managing to draw against Praggnanandhaa in the classical game.

Praggnanandhaa has been the talk of the town lately after the chess prodigy downed Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana in consecutive days. However, that he was not done slaying giants was evident when world champion Ding Liren bit the dust.
