Neeraj Chopra Black Panther: While the fans of the Marvel superhero films await for their next release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the makers of the film has teased the fans by roping in India’s Tokyo Olympic Gold medal winning athlete Neeraj Chopra in an unprecedented move. The Javelin thrower, who is the nation’s hero now turns superhero as he makes a special appearance in the film’s new promo that was released on Friday, 28th October. The upcoming film is expected to hit the screens on 11th November 2022. Ahead of the film’s release, Marvel India has released the promotional teaser starring India’s Olympic athlete Neeraj Chopra. Chopra himself shared the video on his Twitter handle by tweeting in Hindi that roughly translates to “Sport or war, only those who don’t miss the mark will win. Sometimes for nation, some times for yourself. This time, I am picking up the javelin for Black Panther.”
In the 46-second clip, the 24-year old athlete was decked up in a black attire and was seen throwing the Javelin, which later becomes an arrow and soon clips from the movie can be seen with the movie’s title ‘Wakanda Forever’ revealed at the end. The film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is a sequel to the renowned Black Panther film that was released in 2018.
Neeraj Chopra has had a fruitful 2022 in which the reigning Olympic champion competed in six events and twice rewrote national record. He made history in July by becoming the first Indian to take home a silver medal in the World Athletics Championships. He also ended the season by becoming the first-ever Indian to win the coveted Zurich Diamond League Final 2022 with a throw of 88.44 metres.
