MS Dhoni’s surprise play: CSK skipper shifts focus to Hockey, boosts Indian Women’s Olympic dreams

Despite Dhoni providing his support, India went on to lose the match in the penalty shootout (3-4).

With the India women’s hockey team playing in the Olympic qualifier semifinal in Ranchi, cricket legend MS Dhoni decided to lend his support to the team by watching the match live.

The former cricket captain’s admiration for sports extends beyond cricket, and his support for the Indian women’s hockey team underscores the camaraderie and mutual respect among athletes representing the nation.

The India women’s hockey team played an incredible match against Germany, which they unfortunately lost in the penalty shootout. Having held out a 2-2 draw before the whistle was blown, India seemed to be playing at their best with MS Dhoni in the stands. However, they lost to Germany by a slim margin of 3-4 in the shootout.
