India has confirmed another medal at the Paris Paralympics. Para-shuttler Nitesh Kumar from India has sealed his place in the badminton SL3 final. The 29-year-old shuttler from Rajasthan won comfortably against Japan’s Fujihara Daisuke 2-0 (21-16, 21-12) in the men’s badminton SL3 semifinals on Sunday. He will now face Great Britain’s Daniel Bethell, who won the silver medal at the Tokyo Paralympics.
Medals confirmed in SL4 and SL5
India is guaranteed at least a silver medal in both the men’s singles SL4 and women’s singles SU5 categories. The match for SL$ will take place tonight.
Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Suhas Yathiraj will compete against Sukant Kadam in the men’s singles SL4 semi-final, while Manisha Ramadass will face Thulasimathi Murugesan in the women’s SU5 semi-final.
