Iga Swiatek, who was earlier placed in the first draw has withdrawn from the tournament dur to shoulder injury. Her absence has now brought in Leylah Fernandez in her spot, who is the 17th seed in the tournament. She will be up against qualifier Andrea Petkovic in the first round.
Swiatek, withdrawal has however made seventh seed Garbine Muguruza to headline the quarter. Muguruza takes on unseeded Ajila Tomljanovic in the first round.
The quarter also has big names like reigning US Open Champion Emma Raducanu, 16th seed Elena Rybakina, Petra Kvitova and Solane Stephens.

Maria Sakkari, who is the fourth seed in the tournament is the top seed in the second quarter. Sakkari faces Maddison Keys in the opening round. The other top seed in the draw is sixth seed Danielle Collins. Collins will face wildcard entrant Monica Puig in the first round. No.6 seed Danielle Collins is Sakkari’s projected quarterfinal opponent.
Naomi Osaka too is part of the draw as she faces qualifier Anastasia Potapova in the first round. Osaka makes her return after reaching the finals of the Miami Open and this will be her debut this year on clay court.

Third seed Aryna Sabalenka is the top seed in the third quarter of the draws. Sabalenka will face a tough challenge in her opening contest as she takes on Amanda Anisimova. Sabalenka is yet to defeat the America in three contests so far.
Meanwhile Karolina Pliskova is the fifth seed and she is part of this quarter. She takes on qualifier Marie Bouzkova in the first round. The draw also has 10th seed Jelena Ostapenko and 15th seed Viktoria Azarenka.

Second seed Paula Badosa is the top seed in the fourth quarter. She takes on Veronika Kudermetova in the first round and in the second round will most likely face Simona Halep. Halep meanwhile will take on China’s Zhang Shuai in the first round.
Ons Jabeur is the next big seed in the quarter. She begins the tournament by playing Italy’s unseeded Jasmine Paolini in the first round. 11th seed Belinda Bencic and 14th seed Coco Gauff are also part of this quarter. No.14 seed Coco Gauff is the projected third-round opponent for Badosa, and No.8 seed Ons Jabeur is slated to await in the quarterfinals.
