The women’s duo of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand have advanced to the semifinals of the Macau Open Super 300 and are set to face Chinese Taipei’s eighth-seeded pair, Hsieh Pei-Shan and Hung En-Tzu, today. They remain India’s last hope in the tournament, with all other participants already exiting. The Indian pair will be eager to reach their first BWF Tour final, having fallen short in the semifinals earlier this season.
In the quarterfinals, the third-seeded duo convincingly defeated Chinese Taipei’s sixth seeds, Hsu Yin-Hui and Lon Jhih Yun, with a 21-12, 21-17 victory in the women’s doubles.
